CCM (Community Corrections) is a halfway house, they provide assistance to inmates who are nearing release. Too bad there weren't more from McAlester sitting in prison..Hearod, Lanz, etc. plus the councilmen that were too stupid to read contracts & let this go on for years, take Louis Smitherman who wants to again be 6th ward councilman!!! The judge at Green's trial said it's too bad these councilmen can't be charged for allowing this to happen..well people in 6th ward, I hope you don't forget that when it comes time to vote!
Smitherman thinks he can get elected again because he doesn't think he did anything wrong. Anywhere else, all of the councilmen would have been held accountable.If the people in that ward do not understand they have an excellent councilman NOW, they don't deserve Sam Mason.

Would you prefer the term "pillaged"? Either way, this town got screwed by Green and you know it. He mortgaged our future away. We can't let it go regardless of where he is or what he does because every day we have to face the wreckage he left behind. Just because he went to prison for a few years doesn't compensate for the millions of dollars which are missing. There is no comparison.
And you must not forget those councilmen that didn't do their job & allowed it to happen plus the mayor. Louis Smitherman does not deserve to ever try to "serve" this city again..he's done enough! I am appalled at him putting his name in to run for 6th ward council! A slap in the face.
The helpers are guilty as hell. We are digging out from the reign of Bobbie Lanz and Randy Green. I do not know how Lanz can show her face in town with all the illegal stuff she helped Randy with at taxpayer's expense. He served his time but it was not long enough for the damage he caused. Lanz and other Randy ASSistants are retired on money that should have gone for decent streets.
